Riley Baxter of Andy and Bax

Hi there, I have enjoyed your website and boat info.

I wanted to inform you of our local whitewater festival. It will be on May 14-15, 2011. upperclackamasfestival.org is the webpage. It is a great festival and is hosting the national raft races this year.

I will also have a new inflatable kayak up there that I have been working on for a few years that we will be selling exclusively through Andy and Bax. If you will be doing any Inflatable Kayak Reviews this season, the festival would be a great time to do a test run (with me hopefully).

The body is being made by AIRE from the old Force kayak pattern. I am putting a full foam floor in the boat which makes the kayak 2 ½” wider and makes the underside much flatter. The foam is also cut lower in the seat and feet areas for a super stable low center of gravity. The floor does not have the typical voids to hold water like most other Aire models. The result is rigid, light, buoyant, and self-bails quickly. Custom thigh straps and attachment points allow for a rigid fit and make rolling very doable – not just “possible” like previous boats had claimed.

This boat is only being made for Andy and Bax Whitewater retail. I believe it will really raise the bar on water that I.K.s can be run safely in. I will be running it in the nwcreekingcompetition on Canyon Creek, WA on April 17 -which should solidify my confidence in the boat.

If you can not come up to the Clackamas Festival, I have plenty of airline mileage and could travel to the location of one of your test pilot persons to do some whitewater with them and let them try out one of the new kayaks.

See attached Photos of one of my Prototypes. Finished and refined (new) product will be available any week now with the legendary AIRE warranty. Thanks for listening, hope we can meet up!
