Pros: The advantages of the Sea Eagle 370 inflatable kayak include great price, very comfortable, stable, durable, carries a lot of gear, very portable, and you can use inflatable seats or leave them out and paddle kneeling down. With the two skegs located on the bottom, the kayak tracks better in moving water, although it can be exhausting to handle in flat water with a slight wind.
Cons: The Sea Eagle 370 is a wide inflatable kayak and sluggish, and that makes it hard to paddle across a lake or upriver. That kind of paddling experience can be a downer, unless of course you really want an upper body workout. As for payload capacity, while it is advertised to seat three people, two campers with their gear should be the max. Another drawback of the Sea Eagle 370 is that when the water is splashing in, the self-bailing drain valve can take a long time to run the water out.
It’s not a bad little all-purpose sport kayak for stowing your gear and taking an extended camping trip up river, especially if you are new to this type of adventure. Do be aware that the Sea Eagle 370 inflatable kayak is an entry-level model and doesn’t offer the features and materials of more rugged touring kayaks, such as the Sea Eagle Explorer Series, which have been used by anglers, campers, and divers with satisfied results.
