Some Points to Consider

Cadets have oversized buoyancy tubes to provide a stable ride even when heavily loaded with people and gear. The Zodiac Cadet Series has the ability to mount a 4-stroke engine, up to 20hp. The large handgrips on the bow allow you to grab these lightweight dinks and haul them aboard for storage.

Unlike hard dinghies, you won’t have to worry about bumping against your boat or worse — someone else’s boat — as the inflatable tubes are made with Strongan™ Duotex™ 1100 Decitex fabric, a tough puncture and UV resistant PVC material. To hold the seams tight, Zodiac uses their robotized thermobonding process, an exclusive aeronautical technique, for maximum durability.

The Floor Options

Your floor choice will depend entirely on how you intend to use one of these inflatable tenders.

If you plan to keep your Zodiac Cadet Series boat inflated much of the time and tied up at a dock or trailered, either the plywood or wood-slatted floor is the better choice. Also, you won’t risk damage to it from dropping sharp objects like a fishing knife, which can be a problem with the air floor system.

However, if you will inflate/deflate the inflatable boat often, go with the Air Floor which will be quick and no-hassle. Zodiac’s AirLite boats offer the most comfortable deck beneath your feet, and the easiest portability.

The Roll up Cadet Series (slatted wooden floor) can be conveniently deflated, rolled, and stowed with the floor still inside.

The Solid Series (plywood floors + V-keel) offer high performance, rapid planing abilities, and great maneuverability.

What Everyone is Saying

Reviews on the models in the Zodiac Cadet Series are all thumbs way up. Every detail has been well thought out, and implemented with the finest workmanship and materials used. Owners of these inflatable boats are delighted by the performance and durability of the Cadet Series. These are gorgeous yacht tenders, and with the option of hull lengths and configurations you can get the Zodiac you want that is best suited for your application.
